Normandy Websites also run a number of training courses to help you gain the skills you need to create your own websites.

• Finding the best site for you (1/2 Day Seminar) 
  
  This half day course aims to address the key questions you need answered in order to make sure you get the right website. It is not technical and shouldn't confuse you with technological language. Its aim is to provide you with the information you need to find the right solution. We cover topics such as; how a website is made, what makes a good website and what questions to ask suppliers.
  (This seminar will consist of no more than 6 people)
   
• Building a Website (1 Day Workshop) 
  
  Our 'Building a Website' course shows you how to create a basic website within a single day. The workshop provides you with training and hands on experience enabling you to quickly get your website online. The workshop will cover what you need to know about the Internet and how it relates to your website and a review of what makes a good website. We will also guide you through the key steps to using an online tool to create your website, including:
  
  1)  Defining your website structure and layout
  2)  Setting up a suitable design
  3)  Adding your content and images
  
  This workshop will aim to leave you having created a basic website yourself by the end of the day, as well as having the confidence to take your website further in your own time.

• Customising your website (1 Day Workshop) 
  
  Our advanced workshop expands on the 'Building a Website' workshop with sessions on how to get the best out of your new website and make it look unique.
  
  The key aspects covered in this workshop are:
  
  1)  Customizing your design and creating your own colour scheme
  2)  Advanced editing techniques such as complex layouts
  3)  Building a custom 'Contact Us' form
  4)  Adding additional features such as an online shop
  
  (This workshop will consist of no more than 4 people)
